Red Box Design Group are delighted to be working with contractor Bowmer and Kirkland to deliver Newcastle University’s Urban Sciences Building (USB).
Work has commenced on the construction of the new building on Newcastle Science Central. Newcastle University is investing £60 million in the building, which will house the School of Computing Science and Institute for Sustainability, creating world-class facilities from which to lead international research into digitally enabled urban sustainability.
The School of Computing Science is the top computing school in the UK for educating the next generation of creative, top rank computer scientists.
Prof John Fitzgerald, Director of the Centre for Software Reliability at Newcastle University’s School of Computing Science, said: "At Newcastle University we are not only developing tools to help businesses create trustworthy and secure ICT systems, but through Science Central will do the computing research that pushes back frontiers in areas ranging from biology and medicine to human-computer interaction and even games engineering".
